She’s been part of Paws Around Motown since the early days, weaving her calm, capable energy into everything from field visits to behind-the-scenes logistics. With 15+ years of experience in pet care (and nearly a decade with Paws), Val brings serious know-how to the table — along with deep compassion and a quiet leadership style that makes everyone feel supported.

She’s Pet Care Certified and Pet First Aid & CPR certified, with additional training from K9 Turbo and hands-on experience caring for senior pets, multi-pet homes, and animals with medical or mobility needs. She’s especially drawn to pets who need a little extra TLC — whether that’s insulin injections, meal support, or a gentle lift up the stairs.

Val’s superpower? Making both pets and people feel completely at ease. From joyful summer walks to peaceful winter check-ins, she’s all about honoring each pet’s unique routine and helping clients feel confident and cared for. She believes that when we show up with intention and consistency, pets thrive — and pet parents feel it too.

As our Operations Manager, Val keeps the wheels turning behind the scenes while still showing up in the field with the same dedication that’s defined her from day one.
