Kaitlin

Pet Care Technician

Kaitlin brings empathy, attentiveness, and a beautifully intuitive presence to her work at Paws Around Motown. She has been caring for PAM pets since June 2025, and while her professional background is rooted in music and dance, those disciplines have shaped her into a remarkably observant and emotionally attuned caregiver. Years of practicing and performing have sharpened her ability to notice subtle details—body language, energy shifts, emotional cues—which translate seamlessly into reading and responding to the needs of the animals she works with.

Although she didn’t grow up with pets at home due to family allergies, Kaitlin found early and lasting connection with animals during visits to her aunt’s home, where she spent countless hours bonding with cats, dogs, alpacas, and horses. Her naturally sensitive temperament has always made forming these connections feel effortless. Animals tend to gravitate toward her calm energy, and Kaitlin takes great pride in being someone that nervous or reserved pets feel safe approaching.

One of her favorite compliments came from a friend whose notoriously shy cats—famous for hiding when guests arrive—chose to come out and spend time with her during an early visit. While she knows trust is never instant and every pet builds comfort at their own pace, moments like these affirm what she values most: giving animals a space where they can relax, be themselves, and feel understood.

Though Kaitlin doesn’t currently have pets of her own, she pours her heart into the relationships she builds with the dogs and cats she cares for. Becoming “their person” during their visits is a privilege she never takes lightly.

Her guiding philosophy is simple and heartfelt:
“My goal is to not only make every pet feel safe, seen, and cared for, but to celebrate who they individually are.”

Fun fact: Kaitlin is a proud double-checker. She reviews everything carefully at the end of each visit—but that also means she never leaves without offering a bonus round of pets before she heads out.
